I make sense of complexity
through thoughtful,
intentional design.
I bring curiosity, thoughtful analysis, and deep care for my craft to every experience I design.
A bit about me
I’m Erika, a UX designer with over 8 years of experience leading design for complex digital products.
My background in graphic design and front end development gives me a cross disciplinary perspective that helps me bridge communication across design, engineering, and product teams.
My process is thoughtful and intentional. Every decision has a purpose, based on research, technical feasibility, and a strong sense of integrity. I work best in collaborative, open environments where ideas flow freely, feedback is welcomed, and solutions are built as a team. My goal is to design products that genuinely help people, whether that’s simplifying medical workflows, supporting safety critical systems, or improving everyday experiences.

How I approach design
I design with integrity. I decide with purpose.
I believe in being thorough and intentional. I zoom out to understand the who, what, when, where, and why, along with technical and business constraints, so the solution is built on clarity rather than assumptions.
I bring clarity to complex problems
I care about shared understanding & alignment
I translate complexity into visuals and language that help teams see the same picture. I value open, honest conversations and enjoy working through constraints because the strongest outcomes happen when there’s various expertises contributing to a single vision.
I make sure we’re solving the right problem
I don’t design until I understand the truth of the problem. I zoom in to understand what’s underneath the surface and identify what’s actually wrong so we don’t address surface level symptoms.
I design with respect for people’s time, attention, and emotional bandwidth. I want the experience to feel clear, predictable, and supportive. Even the smallest interaction can shift someone from tension to ease, and that matters to me.
I design for real people, in real moments
I think big picture, not just in screens and buttons. I see how things relate, I consider roles, structure, and logic across the entire ecosystem to design products that are cohesive and scalable.
I see the whole picture
My choices are thoughtful, intentional, and justified. I combine research, insights, and feasibility to shape design decisions that make sense across the system and hold up under scrutiny.
